MANILA, Philippines - Popular Filipino movie actor Fernando Poe, Jr. waves at his supporters after formally registering his candidacy for president with the Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Jan. 2, presenting incumbent Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo with possibly her biggest obstacle to winning a new mandate in May's voting. Poe, whose real name is Ronald Allan Kelley, is running under the Coalition of United Filipinos, composed of three opposition parties.
